Thread: Avg tells me this file is a virus

    Avg tells me this file is a virus on start up only, if i do a full scan it doesnt say it " xPIs.exe " virus yet it wont delete heal or nothing

    Do a search for it, and delete it yourself.

    ...then install an antivirus that will deal with infected files when it finds them.

    Well deleting the file might help, but probably not, cause i don't think its just 1 file and if its in system folder, windows might make another one after you deleted lol, well if it is a trojan.

    Does an online scan reveal anything ? Like Mcafee or anyone of the others ?

    It does sound as limesqueezer says a trojan or malware . Mabye check your startup folder or use a program to see whats happen at start up .
