When I see posts like this, I keep on imagining the author as being currently in a trial for epilepsy, and being subjected to a rapid burst of light causing a photosensitive seizure part way through the poast. Nice try but I would have pointed out that Immortals was also the name of a 1995 movie starring Julie Roberts brother who's career peaked early with Star 80.

Contagion- cast of dozens.
It's easy to make fun of large ensemble films (think Valentine Day or the current New Years Eve) but Contagion has a very compelling story-timely and briskly told.
Although it's fun to pick out the actors (Holy shit! Is that Dmitri Martin?), who, save for a few, are really just making cameo appearances, the plot moves with the speed of, well...a virus.
It's depressing to realize that We Are The World means not just raising everybody's boat but that we can all drown together as well.
I can't imagine Contagion did real well at the box office- because it's very depressing- but I didn't begrudge the runtime and thought it was quite well made.
So, make of that what you will.
