Tray icon force minimize/restore on click

Alot of my favorite apps that have a tray icon let you minimize and restore the app when you click on the tray icon.

This way you can just quickly check the status of the program by clicking the icon to restore it and then click again to minimize it!

All of them let you restore the program on click but not minimize it.
Is there a little app that let you force the tray icon to minimize the program if it's not minimized and restore if minimized?

if i understand this correctly, what you need to do is to click twice: once, you select the window, twice for minimizing it. if the window is already selected it will minimize at the first click, of course
