    Is it possible to set the HD with the OS on it as slave?

    hell yeah just get yourself a boot loader like grub and you can put the os anywhere you want.

    cant see why you want to do it but hey.

    With some BIOSes you also have the option of choosing which HDD to boot from.

    Thanks all, actually the answer from RN was what I was looking for, everything else is much to complicated.

    cant see why you want to do it but hey.
    I bought a HD Mobile Rack for my 2nd HD and its much easier to put the first one as slave because of the limited cable length.

    Yeah, those short IDE cables are driving me crazy each time I install a new HDD...

    Last time I did it, somehow my BIOS got erased. That was fun, not!
