    Why the hell does this keep happening. Im trying to download a 500mb file and it keeps freezing..then I gotta start over again.

    This is the 3rd time!

    Never seen the problem myself what Download manager are you using ?

    Maybe the server you are downloading from is busy or overloaded, what type of file are you tryin to download?

    If you use an accelerator like Download Accelerator then you could resume your download everytime it dies on you.

    you can resume downloads from firefox if server supports resume

    Get a download manager like Download Accelerator or FlashGet

    If it downloads the same way with Ie or a manager, then it's not the browser, if it turns out to still be Firefox, you might have to rebuild your profile. I had to do that after upgrading to 2.0 and it solved all the problems I was having ...

    U must use flashget.. it is best. if u are downloading from rapidshare (really shit site) u must use ie.
