w0w, 'bout bloody time! this is my kind of movie! trailer looks half ass decent so i hope there will be BIG war scenes and not like that shit movie, "thin red line." i'm ashamed as i have not yet watched, "flags of our fathers" yet. clint eastwood directing again! hopefully for the best. i dig Ken Watanabe as an actor as well. who am i kidding..? it'll be good. just in time for xmas!

Watched Flags last month, decent enough movie, the Island scenes are more graphic and gory than Private Ryan.
Since I live in Japan will have to wait for DVD (English Subtitles) for the "Letters" because my Japanese isnt up to watching a movie in gutteral tough guy Japanese speech.
Preview of letters at the very end of Flags was pretty intriguing.

2 separate movies. just added flags for it kinda ties in with letters.

just finished this and it was a pretty decent film. not a lot of war scenes and not a lot of boring dialog. it's interesting to have some sort of outlook on the japanese side of the war. be nice to see more films made this way just for historic education. a good watch.
