It's safe to say that a fair few Xbox 360 games are taking you for a ride when you purchase "downloadable content" on the Marketplace -- but which ones are the worst offenders?

There's a bit of conjecture in this research by NeoGAF poster "a Master Ninja," but his evidence seems pretty solid. Many downloads on the Xbox Live Marketplace, for things like extra mech parts in Chrome Hounds or new horses in Samurai Warriors, are exactly 108.8 kilobytes large.

What this means, apparently, is that you aren't actually downloading any content -- you're just getting an encrypted key file that unlocks things already on the game disc. That is, you're being taken for a ride, buying stuff you already own. Other allleged offenders include The Godfather, Lego Star Wars, and Microsoft's own Viva Pinata.
