I have problems using utorrent. Probably my internet connection goes through a router and I don't know what kind of brand it is. Is there a way to identify this router

LOL. What type of company doesn't stamp their logo everyone is what I'd like to know.

If the logo isn't in the front, check the underside and whatever. When you find it, so to portforward.com and forward your ports.

if it doesn't have a logo, get a new router. i'm sure you wouldn't want one from a company that probably no longer exists
