Oh, Ken, what won't you say? According to Engadget's Japanese bureau, Sony's Ken Kutaragi confirmed, nay, promised the Japanese electronics company would be offering up a AV-centric PS3.
The device would include "a more powerful supply unit, anti-shake insulator, twice the main memory, and 2x HDMI to split sound and video output" while taking advantage or Cell technology. Don't expect this to be terribly cheap.
Is there really a market for such a product, though? We all remember (okay, some of us do) how poorly the PSX performed, and it seems an AV-centric PS3 would be trying to tap into a similar market.
