I've been a little lax on this, but I've decided to add a significant update to KazIE (which is a "remote control" of sorts for Kazaa. Go to http://intrepidstudios.net for info and download).
What I am trying to do is to get KazIE to read all the items in the treeview in Kazaa (in the traffic window) and add it to a popup menu when the user clicks the Pause Download, Resume Download, or Cancel Download. So, here are the main questions:

    (1) How do I read off the data from Kazaa's traffic window (the downloads), and
    (2) How can I add items to a popup menu during runtime?

I am programming it in Visual Basic 6. If you want to experiment and see what you can figure out, please feel free. KazIE is open source, so you can download the source code right off the website.

    Thanks for your help!

This wasn't that hard of a question, was it? Last I checked, there was like 44 views, but no responses .

Check the KLExtensions source code, also search in MSDN about the internals of OLE Strings that is used by Kazaa to store the item text.

IMO, KazaaSearch source code has portions on extracting the text from the listview controls of Kazaa.

KazIE crashes my Win ME. So I don`t think I will use it in the moment.

Sorry I haven't talked back for such a long time....

    KazIE crashes on Win Me?

Could you possibly tell me when it crashes (when you press a button, when it loads, when it exits)? I might have to create a Win 95/98/ME version, because there are many Windows 2K, XP enhancements for the program.
    Thanks!
