Everytime my friend logs into his email via outlook, all the emails seem to be erased. Also all emails sent are erased and the trash is empty.

Is there a feature in outlook that can do this? if so htf do you disable it.

On the host where the email is held i have stated that all emails should "be kept on the server" yet whenever he logs on they seem to disappear.

I have asked the host support for help, but they haven't replied yet.

I myself don't use outlook and have merely been looking at the emails through the hosts integrated email viewer.

Go to Tools > Options > Maintenance, and check your options.

EDIT: Is it Outlook or Outlook Express?

it was a bit more detailed
Go to Tools, E-mail Accounts, View or Change, select the account, More Settings, Advanced and look at Delivery options - mark - leave a copy on the server
