if u dont have a super fast connection,then u should build up a good ratio.
after that u can do both to keep the ratio around

Brilliant topic. I do both cause some premium trackers will kick you off if your ratio isn't decent.

If i just started on a siite, i sometimes download stuff i dont want to build up ratio but after thats been established, i only download what i need.

I do just the same as this.
