Thread: Bittorrent client help please!

    Question Mark

    Hi from Baz,
I wonder if someone could help me on my problem at all.

For the last few years I've been using Bitcomet software,
and I have had no issues at all using this software, I can seed a file, uploading no problems.

Yesterday I joined a private tracker site, but they don't allow the Bitcomet Client.

I have spent the last 12 hours trying to find a similar client that will work on my proxy ISP.

This is what I've tried so far, ABC 3.0.2,
    Azureus v2.3.0.x, BitTornado, G3 Torrent v1.01, U Torrent

Downloading, not a problem at all, excellent speeds,
But Uploading, it's a no go.

I have set my routers for port mapping, swapping etc, etc, no joy.

The only Client that connected was Bitornado, but it was very short lived then died on me

If I’m to stay on this Private tracker then I've got to get it sorted or I'm going to get banned and that would be a great shame as it's took me a year to get on it, I love the site, and so far it's all gone tit's up, Damn shame.

What I'm after is similar software to Bitcomet, is there such a thing?
I just find it odd why Bitcomet is the only one that will work for me,
Like I said, I can upload no problems at all, Why is this?

    It's very frustrating.

    Please can someone help?

    Thanks for all replies,

    All best from Baz *.......HELP.........*

utorrent is like bitcomet but isnt as much as a resource hog... try checking the settings in your bitcomet and then set the same in utorrent...

u could also ask the mods on that board and let them know...

I used to use Azureus but that seemed to slow the pc down so I made the switch to uTorrent. I've never had any problems with speeds from it.

Not sure if you know but uTorrent has an encrytion feature that can be used. I have mine enabled so that I can connect to those that also have it switched on but also those that haven't, so maybe enabling encryption and ticking Allow Incoming Legacy Connections too may help.

Thanks for the help, Nice one.

Well I think I've got it sorted, The green light is on using BitTornado,
and it's finally seeding, So thank you all for the advice.

I used No-IP DUC to gain my true IP as i'm on a proxy server,
then inserted that IP into the NAT.
I remember now in my radio days on the net, I had to do the same thing for the outside to connect to me, as all I was seeing, was fake IP's.

Sorted & Case Closed, Thanks from Baz
