Was wondering if anyone here was using that unattended version.

    If so two questions:

    1) trojans/backdoors? I read 3 reviews somewhere they detected backdoors.. wtf uses System Mechanic for virus scanning neway.

    2) have problems opening certain links in ie?

I saw this one and questioned it. I highly doubt I would ever load someones custom XP edition on my system. WHo the hell knows how they have it set up and what backdoors are open in it. I question some applications that I get, I'll be damned if I load an entire custom XP version on my PC. Just my 2 cents

Lolz... I loaded this on a test computer and thought of the possibility that anyone could easily inject a nice backdoor...

I have the same question for the Windows XP Ultimate eXperience... I read on pirutsbay.org that there are no problems... for some odd fv#king reason I seem to be the only one with the IE issue..

on the XP Ultimate IE and Firefox will not open links correctly... even right-click open link in new window would not work....in addition some banners on some sites show up as x... altho i'm not a fan of banners... i hate seeing the lil red "x"...

on the Black Edition... I get a index finger icon when I hover over link and I click to open the link but it won't open... instead link changes to diff color that I did click on the link (i dunno if this sounds confusing..appologize if i do)... but right-click open link in new window works...

fricken annoyances... I should maybe take a few days to make my own unattended... thing is cannot find that student edition OS newhere zzz...

Done it, running it on my laptop right now.

Just for the hell of it, I ran an extraction on the ISO after I burned a copy, then did an AV scan on all the files for the hell of it.

It detected unspecified "viral" qualities in the keygen file, but a friend who is much more knowledgable than I told me such files often scan that way because of how they appear to the AV software.

I went ahead anyway; figured if it wasn't kosher I'd nuke it and start over.

It seems okay so far...I don't use Explorer, so I can't speak to any issues there, but FF works fine, and apart from the fact only a small handful of the included programs actually work as advertised (keygens and cracks are cheesy), I've had no problems.

I think it may be the antivirus blocking the "potential" harmful links to sites. I do not know what that pack had listed as the antivirus, but all of those things sound like they are being blocked. Just a thought. I have seen PCCillan antv do it especially to e-mail ran through outlook.

I've done about 6 different installs of it on this rig 'cuz I couldn't make up my mind how I wanted to configure my HDD; I'm just playing around, and gonna try to learn a bit about dual-boot with a minor in some hybrid stuff.

Looking for something new right now, in fact...

Acutually the antiviral stuff that didn't pass is because of the unattended scripts and the cracks...

@j2K4 can u try out ur ie?

goto www.bensbargains.net now click on any of the item's that have a redirect involved... I can't zzz... Clicking on internal links okay and non redirect links (like www.staples.com) is okay..

there is another unattended that I am going to test out... the Black Edition Heavy lolz same creator but w/ other proggies... small file tho... pirutsbay has it.

Okay confirmed that the same redirects worked fine in Firefox... muhahahaha more reason not to use ie6.

I will upgrade to ie7 next and see if it works better. i think it has to do with something in the damn options... i really wish these unattended people would put in what tweaks they used lolz...

It is fine outher than the fact some of the programs are outdated , things removed and reg.tweaks added .

I switched to Indego found it much better , the Win XP, sp2 patches are from 1/12/07 ,nothing removed or tweaked . Over 180 programs already cracked or serials or keys included in a folder on the desktop . Win Media 11 , IE7 included and best of all no key required to install .

I did a clean install in less than hour with things like Win office 2003 or 2007 already installed . All programs work unlike " Black " .

If you don't like what you installed just insert the dvd and run the Windows post installer again from the desktop short cut , works on Black or Indego .

As for the virus angle some programs like Norton will always flag a key generator or Reg hack .

I heard about INDEGO... i take it INDEGO is his latest release after black? Hrmm...

Will try that too... the post installer sometimes works and sometimes doesn't... as is with all unattended's that i've tried and made.

The eXperience ver. is kinda shady in that if you move the mouse during the post install all sh1t goes to hell since he uses keystroke/mouse controller app to do the activations and such.
