It's a great idea.
It's also very difficult to spam in there and not be seen for what it is.

yes. please keep it.

its a great place for discussions about politics, as we can see the board is very divers when it comes to politics.

edit: the k-lite mirror? wtf?

maybe name it like "politics board" or "current affairs/events"

Definite Yes, despite having entered it maybe 2-3 times

Seriously though, it helps to keep all the serious stuff in 1 place, I usually come here to get away from serious stuff, I don't want to be subjected to War and Politics in the lounge...keep all the "important" stuff seperate

Definitely Yes. It would be a good place to talk about issues
in our current society

I voted no.

Get rid of it.

The only couple of times I went there I found the regulars to be stunningly condescending.

It is little more than mutual intellectual masturbation.

Bin it I say, the worst type of patronising snobbery.

I'm sure no-one will accuse you of that!

If you also see Knifethrowers' topic you'll see that it's to your own advantage
if similar threads are all in 1 place.

Look for instance in the lounge :biggest spamming post in the world,
posts about flaming etc.
My point is (before also made by others)that it's best to keep stuff like that
as much as possible in 1 place :and therefor acting like a magnet.

No one has to read all !! (....well except the mods that is)

I understand that.

However it bears no resemblance to the original post which I asked you to explain.

This is a common theme in the place this thread is about.

People posting what they think of as clever replies, without actually talking to each other.
