I have music and media on the downstairs pc, and my dad does his taxes and junk on the upstairs pc. So I didnt install ares or and torrent program in fear of viruses and spyware.. Im thinking of using a media server like program to stream music to the other pc. Im sure I will have no problem setting the server up, but are there any good or great apps for this that you guys could suggest? I dont want to have to try many many programs. I used TVersity for my 360 for a while.

If it's computer to computer why not just set up a network?
