    What do you guys think of the barebones system I am going to buy? I guess Im going to go with the core 2 duo then right?

    the 6300 wins. standard benches/performance may be on par, but in the long run the 6300 will oc @ least another 700mhz and then just dominate that baby 945.

    case is to small albeit not even able to hold the newest of psu's. only cuz i would run a top exhaust. unless ur gonna be running something like a 650w psu then maybe.

    ok, i've misworded what i meant to say. what i was meaning is that the slot for the psu is to small and will cover up the top fan if u want to use that fan of course. if u don't want to use the fan then i'm sure ALL psu's will fit in it.

    You definitely want the Core2Duo but the rest of that deal is crap.
    Sorry, but you'll have to find another use for your old DDR/AGP stuff.

    If necessary, save up till you can get the basic platform right...no sense crippling yourself from the outset.
