Thread: Movie Maker 2 & K-lite Codec's

  1. #1
Well , i had this problem that every time that i wanted to use any of those effects in Movie Maker 2
the program just exit , without any error msg , nothing .

    and i didn't knew the reason ...

well after some research , i found the one of the Filters in "K-Lite Codeds pack" coused this problem with MM2 .

the Filter Divx Anti-Freeze is the reason for the program exit's ....

so if u have the same problem , just uninstall the whole Pack and reinstalled it without Divx Anti-Freeze .

i hope that i helped some one .... and for the createtors of the pack , take this in mind , and maybe remove this Filter .

I had the same problem! I did what you said but I still get that the program auto closes

Is there a way I can find out what the problem is?

Ok problem solved I found out that the divx antifreeze was not deleted.

divxaf.ax is the trouble maker If you delete this file windows movie maker 2 will work again

Thanks for the tip .... Was wondering about this bug ... Hopefully Microsoft will find a way to fix it ...

DivX AntiFreeze is particularly useful for us filesharers when playing downloaded movies.
