Hey all, I'm just starting out with IRC and I would like some suggestions for which client to use. Freeware isn't a requirement because, well, this IS a p2p forum.

I'd say mirc also. And you don't ever have to bother yourself with registering, just use it as shareware forever

Click for more activation options, then activate by telephone. Run the keygen.
if I call them, aren't they going to get me? (you know, down there)

Since you're just an IRC beginner, I would suggest mIRC too. Easy to use and its free too. If you get sick of the trial reminder, get a crack to get rid of it.

Once you get the hang of it, you can look around for scripted mIRC clients that may suit your needs.
