Thread: Antivirus For Slow Computers

    I'm looking for an updat(ed/able) antivirus that doesn't use a lot of resources. Does anybody know one? The PC is a 486 with 16 MB RAM...

    lol, i would bother mate. if its that crap u aint gonna lose much by gettin a virus anyway, just be carefull,

    i know, if i'd buy an antivirus the AV would be worth more then the pc (although it's a portable *cough*...)
    but well, thanks for your responses, i'll tell my brother to just be careful with it... (and switch off macro's in office...)

    Use AVG, that really does use hardly no pc resources and is very solid, try it.

    One thing, do NOT use norton. Has the best protection but slows your pc right down. You have to comprimise with AV's but AVG is my favourite.
