You might be able to get torrentflux to run.

but I cant imagine you would be able to use a free webserver for this.

    go read the FAQ's here
    http://www.torrentflux.com/forum/

A freehost would probably boot you off after 10 minutes, when the bandwidth started to shoot up. A freehost is simply a shared server spread among many users, and is a taster for people to buy hosting. Like all freebies, there are strings attached, and the strings on a shared host can be pulled in extremely quickly when they want to.

<< i dont think they give you root axx which you would need to install TF. I didnt read up on it completly but like others stated, they would probably boot you as soon as you got near there bandwidth limit.

Yeah but I doubt that's the point. If it's free, why not just get your 20 GB added to buffer, then close the account, renew your IP, and try again.

I think DV8 is right though, i'm pretty sure you need root access to set up TF unless they give you some sort of mysql database frontend you can access. Even then, you need drive space that TF can write to.

sidenote: this is a pretty sweet deal. 5 gigs of webspace and decent transfer for low traffic blogs, w/ no ads and actual php/mysql support. good find snakesman.

You can't do it. How are you going to install a torrent client in that?

torrentflux is a php torrent client, so he can install it, as long as they provide him with one sql database.

5gbs HD is not bad too! some movies, a couple of games, etc. I doubt is that you can achive a good speed when dl from there via FTP.
