This could be caused by a lot of things. There is no real information in your post to narrow it down. If you are stuck on "connecting to peers" then this is usually a tracker side error. Nothing to do but wait if this is the case. If it is client related then a restart of your system is all that is needed. You should have done this as first step. There are clients that are broken and cause this error, like newer versions of uTorrent 3.x or the original client called BiTorrent, if so change client. You could have software problems: blocklists, firewalls, anything that prevents you connecting to a tracker.
