what exactly does "max out" mean, and how do i do it? :S

I think max out means that you download at the maximum speed which your connection is capable of. For example, if you download at 1 MB/s on 8 mbps connection, then you are maxing out your connection.

I think FTN is better and I dont have any Speed problems, I always get max speed. The pre times are way better in FTN and on many torrents there are like 1-2 seeders but i manage to max out the speed even on those torrents.

Same here even with very little speeds it still maxes out.But i'm sure it would be different for someone with a very fast download.
