i recently somehow messed up my divx player. now, it doesnt work, and i cannot delete it. it says it is being used by another program. i cant uninstall it because there are tons of errors that occur. i cant re-install it because there are the same errors. is there anyway i can just get rid of this program? i am on the brink of reformatting. please help. thanks

alternatively you can also try to boot in safe mode.

a simple program called "moveonboot" may help you delete all your divx player files.
it's freely available. a simple google search will get you there.
a good registry cleaning would be in order next.
