So far I am using a 19" monitor and the speakers which came with my computer--and I don't find this satisfactory.

I actually just FTP the movies I download to my XboX and watch them on my TV. Works out quite nicely.

21" LCD and a Audigy 2 soundcard hooked up to a huge JVC stereo system..sometimes i hook my graphics card tv-out to my 46" LCD HDTV
i usually just burn to dvd-r and watch on my tv tho..i don't like sitting at the pc for a whole movie
