I have too many to pick from. When I was a teenager nearly every record in the UK was a cover of an American one. Most of the British versions were atrocious.
This was in the days when the top ten was calculated by sheet music sales and one of the top radio programs was a ventriloquist.
The best way to keep a secret:- Tell everyone not to tell anyone.
