    I've used

    1. AnyDVD w/ DVD Shrink

    and

    2. RipIt4Me w/DVD Decrypter then DVD Shrink

Now I'm trying Clone DVD and it seems the best.

    Any suggestions?

The drawback to option one is that I am basically ripping the movie twice.

Option two doesn't work in many cases (Sony and Disney mainly).

I'd say RipIt4Me w/DVD Decrypter then DVD Shrink is your best bet for DVD Ripping. RipIt4Me is regularly updated so it can handle recently released DVD's that have updated their Arcoss (Sony) or RipGuard (Disney) protocol.

Yeah now I have Clone DVD (crack by Resin) and it does everything in one shot.

Are there any other suggestions for ripping a movie ONE TIME and shrinking in one shot?

I hate having to rip a movie and having a 7GB version then have to shrink it to 4.7GB.

Clone DVD is a little weird.

I just ripped Millenium Season 1 Disc 3 and it was only 1.3 GB yet the disc is 7 gigs.

    Sumfin' ain't roight.

Now I did rip A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints and that was 4.1GB.

I have yet to burn it to see what's up though.

You mean you've been using Clone DVD and have never burnt a disc?

It's possible the movie wasn't ripped correctly.

To rip DVDs I use DVD Shrink 3.2. After that, I use AutoGK to convert it to AVI for my MP3 player.

For ripping and copying to a blank disc, I just compress the DVD a bit, taking away languages and uninteresting extras. Then I burn with Nero.

Busyman, if you want to shrink you dvd's you are going to have to do it in the 2 shot deal.

I don't believe it is possible to take a dvd9 and reburn it as a dvd5 without first putting the dvd9 files on the hard disk to have it re-encode then later burn.

So, yeah, sorry I think you'll have to stay with the two step process and always have it temporally store the movie on your hard drive.

A DVD5 to DVD5 copy is a different story, but I'm sure you already know that.

Click for more activation options, then activate by telephone. Run the keygen.
if I call them, aren't they going to get me? (you know, down there)

Can't he just use DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter?

    - Insert original DVD.
    - Open DVD Shrink.
    - Click the Open Disc button.
    - Select titles and languages etc (if desired).
    - Click Backup>Select backup target>ISO Image file and burn with DVD Decrypter.

It will Rip, Encode and Burn all in one pass. After the encoding phase it will ask for a blank disc. You can even set DVD Decrypter to automatically delete the image after successful burn.

I personally prefer to have the whole contents ripped to the drive first. that allows me to have temporary a backup copy. Sometimes media fails.
