Thread: What are the BEST ports for newsgroups OTHER than 119?

    I was wondering this, as some may have providers that throttle that port. Any suggestions?

    There's also port '563' for SSL. And you can't change the port to Usenet lol....the server opens the port for communication, it's not like torrents, you're not the server, you're the client.

    Ask your usenet provider, most of them have alternate ports which can be used to connect to them
