Probably in 5-10 years there will be some new better way of sharing. I can't imagine what it will be, but something is bound to come along.

new sharing systems are developed almost every other year... its just that they aren't free so not everyone appreciates them... A good NEW free system will take at least 5 years topple bittorrent... it might not even topple maybe just modify
    >< marks the spot

As long as Filesharing techniques may change by time you should also consider that RIAA & MPAA are evolving new ways to bring the whole idea of sharing down to it's knees, so i say that it's only a matter of time before RIAA & MPAA finds a way to kill BT and all other kinds of filesharing and by then we will be using the new hellish way of filesharing

Just like Napster, BT will to come to an end. It had a good run, but ultimately, it is not perfect. While I will be sad to see it go in the near future (less than 5 years), I excitedly await the new ways to share files that are just around the corner.

Less than 5 years cause new ways of file sharing will come up as the technology marches...

I give it a little less than 5 yrs with the public trackers the first one to go. Its a cat and mouse game between piracy and mpaa, riaa, etc. BT will sink sooner or later though i wish it werent so but we have to face reality. Fortunately, there's much more people working against the mpaa, riaa, etc than for them so we have a large of pool of talent that can take P2P to the next level.
