Yes I know quite a morbid thought but you just never know!!!

    Here's my selection

    Atmosphere - Joy Divison
Monkey Gone To Heaven - The Pixes
Sometimes Salvation - The Black Crowes
    Northern Sky - Nick Drake

I used to have a High Fidelity inspired "Top 5 songs to be played at your funeral" list laying around somewhere, but I think I ended up trashing it.

To be more current with it (and shave off four songs in the process), the one song that I'd want to be performed at my funeral would be "Corpus Christi Carol", preferably by an all female choir.

I don't think its morbid its something we all thought about ,more so as one gets older . I'm Scottish so would like the bag pipes or something sad by Rod Stewart like Gasoline Alley to drown out all the fat broards crying in the front row .

At my funeral I want the song "Når Sjelen Hentes Til Helvete" from Dimmu Borgir or "Det Som En Gang var" from Burzum. \m/

"Njósnavélin" by Sigur Ros, it's beautifull, and epic. This song can be interpretted as something joyful, or it can be viewed as a very melancholy requiem, it depends on who you are, I suppose.

Fortanately for both of us, I've heard both the songs you listed (lee551 hooked me on to Dimmu Borgir and then it kinda went from there). But whether or not its beautfiul+epic, it's still not something that is "proper" to be played at a funeral, but to each his own
