I tried this for myself and it worked!

I went to a lab computer in my university and used Magic Jellybean keyfinder do get the key. I then downloaded a copy of XP corporate and installed it with my school's key. Low and behold it was genuine. No crack cuz it's a valid vlk key.

very old method... you can use xppid.exe (google it) to replace your current key with any. I took all the ones from my school computer labs and all the ones i could find at Best Buy...

every computer around me has the same key. The stickers are different, but the key on the machines are all the same. They were all installed by Dell... Go figure. Great idea dell and/or M$.
That same key is on google, on tons of sites. Change your key to this and it will always be valid, they can't ban it cause its the key for all of their sales.

You could ask your university to give you windows XP with a key... My college does that. They give the same key to every student though. I think its some sort of special key that is made to work with their special CD or something.
