Hah... so far no one gave the right answer, so it's a good reason to bring it back up.

The best answer to this question is http://zombtracker.the-zomb.com/

That is, if you want lossless... but this tracker is the best of it's kind. Aroung 20 shows posted daily, along with DVDR as well. It's quite big too... Hope you enjoy.

Registration is open I believe. There is no "official releases" or anything there, it's a pure bootleg tracker.

lossless bootlegs? you've gotta be kidding me.. you'd be paranoid to need bootlegged sets coded in flac

i assumed eztorrents was the place to go for this kinda stuff, but i don't really download too many bootlegs, the only ones being Neutral Milk Hotel, a The White Stripes, a RHCP, a Choking Victim, and the rest i have are live cds that are official. but yeah.. lossless bootlegs, ha

Well, you'd be surprised how many people are there... Many releases get over 100 snatches... in general, nothing under 20. All of them are well seeded and there is a rather large membership (not sure number, probably over 50k). Top members have over 30 teras upload.

They also have bootleg in DVDR format of live recorded shows. Sure, maybe you prefer mp3 and you believe it's good enough for those bootlegs, but the sheer number of users there prove that not everyones agree with you. They are running since 2005 and have a dedicated userbase.

And anyway, if you're really going to listen to something more than once and trash it off, what is it to download 400-500mb instead of 100-120.

well my 30 gig ipod is full, and ive got about 2/3 of music i listen to regularly on it... so for me theres def no going flac until i buy a terabyte hardrive and a 160 gig ipod, which probably wont happen...

but i guess there always will be some music nuts who get all their music in flac.. but if you look at the frequencies in detail im sure the detail in the flacs would match at best 192 kb/s, even with just the recorders limitations. for me, a student, wasting memory like that is just impossible

I went from the whole portable media player myself (not an ipod, I prefer archos)... and I'm now downgrading back to cds. I'm more the kind of person who listen to full albums anyway, so holding 2000 albums in the palm of my hand offer no great advantage.

That's why I mostly get flacs nowaday. If it is for albums I'm going to burn, I'll take nothing less than the full quality. Mp3s are for stuff that will just stay on the hard drive.
