Thread: Which Program Opens Virtual Device Drivers?

  1. #1
I've looked around and I hope this hasn't been covered elsewhere and this is the proper section to post this question...

Quick question: I just downloaded winzip and I'm wondering which windows' program I need to open the damn thing.

    Thanks!

    I'm confused!
Are you talking about winzip or the virtual device drivers?

Maybe I'm the one that's confused...

I tried to open the downloaded file (winzip-8-win-full-serial-61924847.vxd) and then that which-program-do-you-want-to-open-this-file-with window comes up and I don't know what opens a .vxd file.

    How come it's .vxd?
I'm not to shure about this ,but change the .vxd to .zip or .exe and see if that works.
    OR
Just go to winzips web page and dl winzip trial and open it with that.
Winzip shouldn't have a .vxd extension.

That sounds whacked. I'd delete that file. But for sure scan it with your AV if not. Also I like WinRAR instead. WinRAR handles rar files & zip also. WinZip doesn't. Personally easily available programs like WZ I get directly from their sites or download.com or similiar reputable sites & I get the cracks elsewhere. I think it's foolish to get these type (easily available) on p2p.

I could be wrong but i think .Vxd is an extension used in Virtual PC for MS stuff. if that's the case then it's no good for anything else.
