    Was quite surprised to read this yest. It's not often you hear about earthquakes in the UK. I used to live in Kent too! Looks like it wasn't TOO bad thought which is good considering it was just off the channel!

    All's well that ends well I suppose!

    I love it when people are shocked about things that tend to happen on earth, i love it.

    Earthquakes are not rare anywhere, thats scientist talk, stop listening to them.

    I've got a broken roof-tile. I don't know how it happened, but it could have been caused by the earthquake.

    I'm just glad they're so rare, I know they are because the scientists tell me

    Well,it's not so much the shaking where people get shocked about, more the loss of life and loved ones, for others it's the loss of property. Sitting in the bitter cold on top of the Himalayas is also shocking I heard.

    I remember the one in Dudley a few years back.
    I was staying over there at the time and when it dawned on us that we had just experienced an earthquake it was such an eerie feeling.

    To feel the earth move in that way makes you realise how insignificant our lives are compared to the natural power of the earth.
