Thread: Google Apps / URL / Zone File

    Urgent

    Hey

I picked up a domain name from godaddy and I am using google apps to host it.

I got mail.mydomain.ca working. Updated MX and everything works fine.

How do I get the site working so the URL www.mydomain.com points to my website.

    http://sites.google.com/a/mydomain.ca/mysite/ works fine.

    Note:

The first domain I setup worked fine (completely different then domain mentioned above). However when I purchased the domain I did it though the following link instead of from GoDaddy directly.

    http://www.google.com/a/cpanel/stand...ownDomain=true

you need to redirect your nameservers to your own page,

or just use http://help.godaddy.com/article/422 this tutorial to do an alternative forwarding, make a Forwarding with Masking for better results. Or go trough sites.google tutorials

If my forward points to mysite.ca how does it then reference google to find my page?

If I go to www.mysite.com it displays a

    Google
    Error

    Not Found

The requested URL / was not found on this server.

Meaning its pointing to google sites, just not able to find mysite and i don't know where the relationship is that connects the domain name to my specific site on google.

    thanks
