    Hi there,
i have a leeware and using cuteftp to downloading files from my leeware to my PC.
Unfortunately the downspeed isnt very good, so it takes a quite long time to get my files to my PC.
Is this normal for leeware or is there a other reason?
    thank you

maybe your whole upload bandwidth is eaten up by your bittorrent client, have you ever thought about that? And another thing, if you use SSH and speeds are usually more stable, and sometimes faster.

if your not maxing out your connection you can go into options and under connection bump the per site max concurrent transfers up. I have mine set at 8 and can get about 3.5/4 mbps.

It's easier if you host it over http with apache but make sure you limit access to your own IP (otherwise anybody can access it) address. Then just open up multiple streams for the same file to boost speeds.

Of course this could also get you TOSed lol.

How can I enable uploads to vsftpd on Leeware (from CuteFTP)?

I need to up files for seeding, but I cannot do so while logging in anonymously.

Do I have to go in as root?
Can a create another non-root account with write permission to /var/ftp/pub?
