Arrange Icons by Modified not in a MP3 folder

I've been annoyed by this for the last time.

In WIN XP, in any other folder you can arrange the contents of a folder by its modified date. However in a folder that has MP3s it replaces that with by artist, year, duration, etc. I would like to sort by modified date so I can see my newly downloaded songs and put them on my ipod.

Do you guys know how to get arrange by modified back in the folder?

right click, view, details.

then right click on the bar on the top, and check what you want.
