Thread: Any NERO experts here? I cant burn a dvd (Illegal Disc Error)

  1. #1
    Hey,
I was going to try this thread in the digital video forum,
but im waiting for a registration email so ill ask it here,
Im trying to burn a set of dvd files,
and the burning doesnt even start it goes straight to illegal disc error.
Im not a burning expert at all, i mean i know more than grandma, but besides working nero (when it works) im clueless.......i thought it was just nero,
but i go to burn the nero log to a cd with windows xp,
It starts burning then a popup says the program ****.exe, i dont remember what the name was it was like 4 letters, needs to close, and it ejects my cd while burning, and when i click dont sent (iim not connected to the internet with that computer), my start menu, icons, and everything is gone except the desktop, and im not sure how to get it back so i restart.

Heres my nero log and some info about my PC:

Nero works well but is a resource hog. I noticed that 66% of your memory is being used. That may be the culprit.

Try saving the files instead of burning them. Nero has this option. Burn from that file.

Or, maybe the blank media you're using is not compatible with the type of Cd burner you have.
