i am at my end with this problem. i have ut 1.6.1 setup on my server and use webui. the problem i am having is i constantly get disk overload when downloding in utorrent. it is not because i am downloading to fast because it doesn't matter even if i am downloading at 500kb/s i get it. so no matter what i do i have to let the file i am downloading finish b4 it will even start uploading. if anyone else had this problem and solved it please let me know how u did it.

    thanx

no this happens with every file, there is just no way i can upload while i'm downloading ( my main issue more is i cannot upload at all while i am downloading no matter if i cap my download or not, my upload is perfectly fine after the download has finished)

Something on preferences - advanced - disk cache & preferences - Queueing - check the "seeding tasks have higher priority than downloading tasks" might help you

Reasons could be bad HD, u should run some disk utitlies, also cleaning up and reinstalling utorrent is also a good practice...dont forget the hidden folder in apps and documents/application data/utorrent

preferences-advanced-disk cache and at override automatic cache size and specify the size manually ... change it to a half of you rams...because that`s why you get disk overloaded...because of the lack of ram...put there like 128 or 512...depending of how much do you have and the speed will be ok
