I just stumbled across this on the net. They are competing in an MMA style fight this coming Saturday (6/23).
While this is a strange match-up of the under-conditioned street-fighter vs. the over the hill boxer, I can't seem to stop thinking about this. A part of me definitely wants to see this.
Predictions? I think Kimbo is gonna knock Mercer out. He can take a punch so well, and deliver as good as any heavyweight. Shame it's on PPV.

Well Kimbo is youtube famous....ive seen a few of his fights and he defiantly is a tough guy and i believe he will have the 1st round advantage being younger and with the power....Mercer on the other hand has the experience edge. He would know when to turn it on and when to tone it down....the problem is going to be his age and conditioning. If he's been training and he weathers the early storm things will go well for him. Kimbo will probably go full force then wither.....but like many people say....Anybody can get knocked out when there's 200lbs behind a punch.
Perdiction: Kimbo early KO. He has the youth edge.

You guys are sooooooo over the top with Kimbo.
The guy only beats bums, fat guys and the rules in the middle of the fights. Mercer will KO like a little boy. Only chance is Kimbo taking it to the ground and maybe his training with Bas can count for something.
