i find it hard to see how remote assistance would increase download speeds so much.
how big is this movie you downloaded in 18 hours?
if it's 700meg (about the normal size for movie files on kazaa), then if you downloaded it in 18 hours, your average speed would be
((700*1024)/(18*60*60)) = ~11kB/sec
which is a little impossible to believe for 56k
p.s. of course, this is only true if you're talking about a 700meg file.

When I had 56K, once I downloaded a file and the speed was about 150K. It was a 600KB file so you can gather that it d/led in 4 secs. Thats was when I was with dirty dirty AOL and decided to try IE!
