Thread: itmn.org and offline trading

  1. #1
Did anyone use itmn.org? If so, do you know happened to it? Are there any other sites like it? For those that don't know, it was a forum set up to help people do offline trading of media.

If there aren't any others, would it be against the rules to have a private forum section here (like the BT invites section) to allow members to trade offline. There are some benefits to trading this way. Snailmail "bandwidth" can be quite high especially when dealing with rare or old material. People behind school firewalls or who can't afford broadband but have stuff to share could still participate. Also, those with severely asymmetric UL/DL connections are at a disadvantage on private torrent sites.

The downside to this is that your real address (or PO BOX) is known to the person you are trading with. That is why I suggest a section similar to the invites; trust is a big issue.

I'd like to know what people think about this.
