Are you talking about the actual shell shell for the way Windows handles the desktop, taskbar, menus, etc? Or are you talking about the theme? If your are talking about the theme you can get stylexp but if you are talking about the shell, you cannot simply take the .dlls from Longhorn and put them into Windows XP. There are programs that will let you modify the shell. The one that i can think of off the top of my head is lightstep. There are a few others but most of them are a real pain to get working.

Im taklking about the longhorns shell Look here i have the dlls and i cant swap them with mine because they are in use. The way they say do it is go in to dos

Oh I see, I thought you meant the actual .dlls from Windows Longhorn. Try starting up into safe mode and copy them over that way.
