I'm currently using a Powerbook G4 that I got as a graduation gift and it gets extremely hot when I try to do anything too rigorous with it. Mostly when I am running Windows with Virtual PC.

I'm thinking about the Antec Notebook Cooler, seen below (my first time trying to post an image, sorry); anyone else have any inquiries?

i suggest you clean the vents of the laptop first cause they tend to get clogged with dust.
Try blowing into the vents, or use one of those pure air spray things or a vacuum cleaner (becareful not too much suction, cause it might destroy the fan) (if you can see the fan, put in a pen so it prevents it from spinning then suk). all the vents.

it should help, does for me.

Thanks, I nearly forgot about this thread. But good advice nonetheless.
