Playing Movies On Ps2?

I have heard PS2's being shit quality but I never had a problem. At least 3 friends of mine said that after the warranty was well expired it just broke down. Instead of getting it fixed (too much&#036 they bought a new one. There was also a famous game developer (a person) that said he didn't want to make games for the PS2 anymore because Sony basically makes you buy a new one when it brakes. Unfortunately I cannot remember the guy's name (it was in EGM). Makes you think about the inflated sales number huh.

Hmm.. I have a first day ps2 and haven't had a single problem with mine. I pretty much only use it for dvds, as I get bored with games pretty quickly.

sorry i seem to have missed he point in buying a games machine that plays dvd's why didnt u get a dvd and a snes for the same price lol
