Problem Speed With Games

my problem is that 3 days ago i began playing delta force black hawk down with a 40 - 60 fraps and the video options were high and 1024x768 but yesterday the fraps rate slowed to 10 - 20 and sometimes to 40 with medium and 1024x768. my cpu is AMD Athlon xp 2700+, mother board nf7-s,ddr 512. please help me.

i think you probably just got to a part of the game with lots of detail, or people to shoot, either that or your graphics card exploded

come on though 1024x768 is a little extreme isn't it?
