On Saturday, my pc restarted. I thought it was because of an update or something. Soon after, it restarted again. I noticed that the pc was restarting every 20-30mins and when I would login, I would have a message telling me Ive recovered from a serious error. I used the restore wizard, and restored to 4-5 days before I got the problems. I didnt have a problem for about 4-5 days, and then it started restarting again. It still restarts, but now every few hours. I havent dont any hardware or software cahnges in teh last week. Ive only installed PS3 Video 9 and then I uninstalled it thinking it may have been because of that program. I also deleted everything I downloaded in those few days and ran nod32. So should I restore my pc to like a month before? maybe that will get rid of it? Is it software related, or is something lose in the computer?

    all help is appreciated, thanks.

Possibly an overheating problem, but to be honest, it could be anything

I dont understand how it could be cooling, Ive added thermalpaste (last year), I added fans last year as well. Its been running great. I vacuumed the fans and pc after it restarted a few times thinking it could be overheating. Should I dl Memtest and run it?

Sure, it will not do harm at least...make sure to run it for several hours to see if there are errors.

Only time I get that error is when the graphics/display hardware or software freezes. It could be anything tho like they said.

I looked into teh error code and it said that info about these 2 files will be submitted:

    C:\DOCUME~1\family\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERc2f0.dir00\Mini081807-01.dmp
    C:\DOCUME~1\family\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERc2f0.dir00\sysdata.xml

    What does that mean

Those are just files that are created by windows to send if you click send error report. They are not actual files that are causing this problem but contain some information which is passed to Micros0ft.
