Problem With Day Of Defeat 1.0 Help!

Hi,

I installed DoD v1.0 , but it didn´t create the executable file , i think it must be dod.exe. but is says the installation was succesfull ! I have installed it several times, but still the same!
I don´t know why, anybody has any idea, or the same problem?? How do you run this program?

have you installed Half-life??

if you have try to install Counter-strike and you can open Dod servers from there

or any other half-life mod

if you downloaded v1.0, you need to have Half-Life already installed, as suggested by Archwolf.

I dont´t have Half Life, because I have Counter Strike Retail version, wich can work alone, without half life. Do i need half life to run dod 1.0?

CS Retail should be fine - have you installed to the root directory of CS Retail, like the installer tells you?

if you have just start up CS and go to the 'mod' button and select DoD
or even better reinstall and choose to create a desktop shortcut

Yes, i did all that. When i start CS and go to custom game, and press refresh, it doesn´t appear DOD in the list, this is a very strange problem, and when i accept the desktop icons instalation, it only appears the help, but not the dod icon, any suggestion??

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!!!!!!

The solution was in installing DoD 1.0 in counter strike root folder, and not in a created Day of Defeat folder as the program does for default in the installation.
