What is the difference between a game rip and an ISO?
Could downloading a compressed version of all the files off the game's CD be classed as a rip?
I don't have much knowledge in the field of game piracy.
Well, a game rip is just the game, but it's missing some of its features. Like for the GTA3 rip, it's missing the radio stations.
I don't know about the compressed version being a rip. The release group MYTH generally does rips for many games but they once released Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 as a full version.

Grand Prix 4 and C&C Generals are two excellent ones I've come across - only problem with rips is the lack of patching ability which is a major pisser for impatient gits like me who can't find the time on their 512k net connections to download bins
