Thanks for trying to help, but when I said the sound was "off" I mean "off" by a few seconds. I can hear the audio, but it just doesn't correspond with the video.

well here is the confusion...an mpeg encoded with divx...hmmmmm 1st time for everything...
do you mean you had an mpeg and have converted it to avi using divx?
